My name is Jorge A. Martinez, I am twenty years old and live in Boyle Heights Los Angeles. I am currently attending Pasadena City College and pursuing a major in Computer Science: Programming. There are two major reasons why I choose this field. One reason is that, during high school, I joined a computer club because of some friends. I had owned a computer but never really understood how it worked. I became fascinated with computers after joining the club. Later on, I recieved the position of being president of the computer club for my high school. The other reason is that I consider math to be my best subject and computer science requires a lot of math.      I would consider my current goals and objectives to be very similar because I am still in a stage of development. But as of right now my goals are to transfer to a 4 year university and earn a bachelor's degree in computer science and eventually proceed to a master's degree. Some universities I am aiming to transfer to include UCSC, UCI, UCSB, CSU San Jose, and Cal Polly Pomona. Going to college and earning my degree will help me in achieving my goal which is finacial stability. I picked the background of this page because this sight to me leads to a peace of mind for the moment. Which is what I am trying to achieve by going to college.
